New year brings new bans

Two Kansas towns are hoping to clear the air in 2009 with smoking bans. After granting extensions to half a dozen businesses, Derby's ban took full effect Thursday. A ban in Winfield begins Friday.

- I happen to know a family whose 4 year old son was killed because without the knowledge of the driver he grabbed the rear bumper and was run over. This incident of pulling the "hot wheels" car behind an actual vehicle easily could have resulted in the child's death.

- I am presuming this person Samantha Brick has a "MAGIC MIRROR" since I am not seeing the over the top beautiful that she perceives herself to be. I mean she isn't ugly but neither is she a woman who would get many second glances. Sorry to burst her balloon.

- I fear being shot in my local Walmart. And I live in the middle of Kansas in a town of 50,000 people. That is how bad it is in Walmart. So NO I do not shop there and I will NOT shop there.
